On August 12, NTRCA members joined us for our FORTIFIED Roof Panel Discussion Lunch & Learn, where industry experts and FORTIFIED Certified contractors shared their firsthand experience with the FORTIFIED program.
Moderated by Kirk Scott of Scott Exteriors, the panel featured Chandra Womack with IBHS, Chris Arrington with Arrington Roofing, and Travis Jones with Smart Roof & Home Performance. Together, they discussed the FORTIFIED certification process, why contractors choose to become certified, how they approach FORTIFIED with homeowners, and the benefits and challenges they have experienced along the way.
Attendees also had the opportunity to ask questions and hear different perspectives on what FORTIFIED looks like in practice and what its future could look like for the North Texas roofing industry.
With the Texas Governor's proposed $400 million towards resilient roofs, Texas could see an upswing in the FORTIFIED Roof requests.
