The Golden Hammer Awards Program annually honors NTRCA contractor and associate members for their outstanding contributions to the roofing industry. Award recipients will be recognized during the NTRCA Awards Banquet, taking place on February 28, 2026, at The Statler in Dallas.​

Eligibility

1. The project must have been completed in 2025 to be eligible for entry.
    

2. The application must be completed by a Contractor Member of NTRCA. Associate members are welcome to assist with the application.
    

3. The NTRCA Contractor Member applying for the award must be a current member of NTRCA. They must also hold the warranty for the labor on the project.

Choose the appropriate category for your project:

• Residential Categories:

  • ​Outstanding Residential Project (Shingle) 

  • Outstanding Residential Project (Synthetic or Metal/Steel Shingles)

  • Outstanding Residential Community Service Project

  • Outstanding Residential Tile Project (Slate, Clay, or Concrete)

  • Outstanding Residential Metal Project

  • Residential Innovation in Roofing Project (Green, Turret, Combined Material, etc.)

• Commercial Categories: 

  • Outstanding Commercial Project​

  • Outstanding Commercial Community Service Project

  • Outstanding Commercial Tile Project (Slate, Clay, or Concrete)

  • Outstanding Commercial Metal Project

  • Commercial Innovation in Roofing Project (Green, Turret, Combined Material, etc.

Multiple projects are allowed; however, each project may only be submitted in one category. (For example, you cannot submit the same project for both Outstanding Commercial and Innovation in Roofing—choose the category that best fits.)

What Happens to Entries?

1. Entries are screened to verify eligibility.
    

2. Recognized industry experts serve as judges and evaluate each entry. 
    

3. The highest-ranking entries in each category will determine the winners of the Golden Hammer Awards.
    

4. The decisions of the judges are final, and scores for individual entries will not be disclosed.
    

5. Failure to follow application guidelines can lead to disqualification.
