On September 10, the NTRCA hosted a panel discussion tackling one of the biggest questions in roofing claims: Who do you call—an attorney, appraiser, or public adjuster? The session, moderated by Anthony Applegate of Banner Roofing, brought together Dan Pitts (Appraiser), Russ Wilson (Public Adjuster), Maria Gerguis (Claims Attorney), and Karen Ensley (Construction Law Attorney).
Panelists shared real-world experiences and practical guidance on when and how to involve an appraiser, public adjuster, or attorney, as well as strategies to strengthen a claim from the start and protect contractors throughout the process.
Attendees gained valuable, actionable insights and the opportunity to ask direct questions—making this a rare chance to hear multiple perspectives on navigating insurance claims in one comprehensive discussion.
